Gideons Children’s Home

Gideons Children’s Home was started through the help of Pst Newton Atela and the Wife Caroline by taking in 37 orphans to live in their two-room house in the year 2007. The number of children living at the children’s home increased to over 300 in 8 years and besides children home, Gideons also runs a primary school and a high school with over 500 students.

Gideons Primary/High School

Gideon’s launched a secondary school in 2013 to assist children who have passed primary school but cannot afford to go for high learning. The school runs from form one to four in a good learning environment. Gideons Primary School was established in 2009 in Newton’s stepmother’s old house with only a few orphaned children and is now a glowing and growing reality.

Gideons Farming Project

Gideon’s  started farms on its bases with the purpose of feeding the hungry. From grains to vegetables and bananas, these farms are producing nutritional meals for the children on our bases, as well as food for our outreach projects. Not only does this supplement the Gideon operating costs, but it also helps us to provide jobs for the locals.
